TRACKING SYSTEMS
SCAI Fast developed and implemented a system to track all materials during the production cycle and identify components once assembly was complete in the production and logistics department at TMP (Termomeccanica Pompe S.p.A.).
All incoming materials are assigned a serial number and their location within the production area and warehouse is uniquely identified. The position of each serial number can be tracked and viewed in the system at all times, as can the location and quality status of each component required for assembly. Individual component serial numbers are still displayed after assembly.
Physical warehouse management was implemented using SAP.
Managing different material types within the same warehouse involves creating precise zones and facilitating transfer transactions between one zone and another.
