In 2023 The Ocean Race, the most extraordinary and toughest regatta around the world, turns 50 years old and for the first time in history will arrive in Italy. ETT, a Gruppo SCAI company, is following all the stages with its Immersive Room and a rich schedule of sustainability and ocean-themed events.
The Ocean Race, the round-the-world crewed sailing race started on January 15 from Alicante and will arrive for the first time in history in the Mediterranean, in Italy, in Genoa in June. Thanks to “The Grand Finale,” the Ligurian capital will be the world capital of sailing and the arrival of the most extraordinary round-the-world race will be a great opportunity for promotion but also a moment of celebration with many events in the “Ocean Live Park” village that will be set up in the new Levante Waterfront.
But before the world “arrives” in Genoa, it will be the Ligurian capital that will be around the world. Genoa is in fact the protagonist in the stages of Alicante, Cape Town, Itajaí, Newport, Aarhus, and The Hague with a “Business Lounge” in which to promote its excellence to an international audience that, in the last edition, exceeded 2.5 million visitors.
The “Business Lounge” features an immersive room developed by ETT, a Gruppo SCAI company, which transports visitors directly to iconic areas of Genoa and Liguria.
“The multimedia installation that the City of Genoa will bring to the Show through the technical sponsorship of ETT – a Genoa-based company of SCAI Group – will offer an immersive “preview” experience of The Ocean Race. Visitors will be able to experience firsthand the excitement of the race with the immersive multi-projection that will then follow the Genoa booth to the various stages of The Ocean Race around the world.”

In addition to the Immersive Room, ETT is featured in several speeches in the event schedule with a sustainability theme: follow ETT along all the stages leading up to the Grand Finale in Genoa.
The Ocean Race, in fact, is one of the first sporting events in the world to focus on reducing its impact on the environment.
As a supporter, ETT shares this commitment. The SCAI Group company collaborates with leading Italian and international universities and research centers to ensure access to information on the oceans, the environment and sustainability that is essential for responsible resource use.
ETT plays an important role in monitoring the environmental situation in real time. In fact, it actively participates in European programs for the collection, management and processing of data collected through in situ and remote sensing technologies. These programs are pieces of a complex puzzle that help identify new technological solutions and invite us to active participation, helping to build a strong and responsible community.
