Warsaw Conference on the programmatic lines of the Government for the development of digitalization in Poland.
The meeting was attended by the Minister of Digitization Anna Streżyńska, along with Krzysztof Szubert expert on these issues, the “shadow” minister of the BCC, the Rector of Warsaw University of Technology Jan Szmidt and two important representatives of the digital industry world as Artur Wiza of Asseco and Piotr Muszyński Orange Polska.
Central topic of the meeting was digital innovation in Poland, evolution of new technologies and government projects for digitization. Particular attention was put on the network, as a fundamental and central to the economic development of the country, critical for the IoT and other innovations brought by the digital revolution.
Minister Anna Streżyńska declared that there are major investment programs to be launched for digitization in public administration and in the banking system.
Strategic elements for the Polish Government are the dematerialization of processes and the modernization of banking systems; for this reason from mid-2016 there will be actions to support the elimination of the paper by the Public Administration, along with an upgrade of mobile and fixed network, to allow an improvement in the speed of data traffic, particularly also in small towns outside the large urban areas of Poland.
